Here is the bird count result. ・Ducks・・・at the fresh water pond(Upper pond /kamino-ike) :20 Tufted Duck, 15 Common Pochard, 11 Eurasian Teal,4 Gadwall, 4 Common Shoveler, 3 Eastern Spot-billed Duck, 1 Mandarin Duck. ・Ducks2・・・over 10,000 Greater Scaups are wintering at the seaside. ・Grebes・・・some little grebes are at the fresh water pond. Great Crested Grebes and Black-necked Grebes are changing their plumage to summer one, staying around beach. ・Herons and Egrets・・・Grey Heron, Great Egret, Little Egret, Eurasian Bittern. Heron doesn’t change plumage but bill color getting bright for breeding! ・Spoonbills・・・Black-faced Spoonbill is usually at the East beach(Kasai Marine Park), and come to West beach for feeding when tide level is low. ・Rails・・・Some Water Rails are living in a reed bed. ・Shorebirds・・・4 Common Greenshanks were at the seaside. 1 Eurasian Curlew were at West Beach. ・Raptors・・・Common Buzzard flew around Bird Watching Center. ・Kingfishers・・・Common Kingfisher was seen between ponds. ・Passerines・・・Japanese Waxwing came to this park! But it was seen just weekend and not appeared later. ・Other Passerines・・・Japanese Pygmy Woodpecker, Large-billed Crow, Carrion Crow, Azure-winged Magpie, Japanese Tit, Barn Swallow, Brown-eared Bulbul, Japanese Bush Warbler, Japanese White-eye, White-cheeked Starling, Naumann's Thrush, Daurian Redstart, Japanese Pied Wagtail, Eurasian Tree Sparrow, Oriental Greenfinch, Black-faced Bunting, Common Reed Bunting, and Oriental Turtle Dove.
